History

Rhey is the oldest kingdom in Sitting on a Quiet Shore. It is the birthplace of House Vindi and House Darendra, and has a culture more saturated with Sanguin activity than anywhere else. It was the homeland of the Alacranian armies during the First War and was the staging point for Noraki invasions during the Elemental Wars.

Rhey was conquered by Scrimnea 200 years prior to the events of Sitting on a Quiet Shore, and maintains status as a vassal kingdom. It has historically been very wealthy, even employing knights. It is known to be one of the happiest places in the world, an almost fairytale land of wine, heroic knights battling malum, and adventure.
